Dreams; should we look further into them
While I was praying I came across dreams associated with my Christian
Journey. Should I put much emphasis on them or should I focus on other
things as in prayers?

Re: Dreams; should we look further into them
I don't think we should pursue dreams or try to "look further into them."

Re: Dreams; should we look further into them
There is no harm in looking into our dreams, as they are the window into our subconscious minds.
But we should not, a priori, assume that there is hidden wisdom to be found in them. ICXC NIKA. |

Pilate's wife had a dream that she used to warn Pilate not to crucify Jesus.

Re: Dreams; should we look further into them
No....... Dreams are from your subconscious ,,,,
some dreams may help you overcome a problem,,,simply because your mind may be relaxed, and your mind figures out a problem because your mind is clear from clutter |

Re: Dreams; should we look further into them
For the time being I may just leave my dreams alone. I feel dreams if
misunderstood can misdirect one into focusing solely on oneself. For my
journey I feel it will be ok if I avoid them until further notice.

Re: Dreams; should we look further into them
lately the dreams are not holy one but unholy ones. I believe it is the work of the Liar and Deceiver behind these ones.

Re: Dreams; should we look further into them
I would not place too much meaning to dreams... although they could be
messages from God as with visions or apparitions... for the most part
dreams are random thoughts brought forward from our sub conscious...
they may come from fears or worries past or present or from fantasies or
desires hidden deep in our mind.
It's very important that we always be aware of what is real and what is fantasy. Dreams allow our inhibitions free to run wild, and we are more likely to do things in dreams that we would never consider in reality. It is possible that some recurring dreams may be a warning or indication that we are very worried about some particular situation. I used to have nightmares about someone breaking into my house, so I eventually got an alarm system installed. The peace of mind was money well spent. |

Re: Dreams; should we look further into them
I had a dream the other night, it wasn't necessarily a holy one and it
wasn't necessarily obscene. It was pleasant and rewarding.

Re: Dreams; should we look further into them
when i was growing up i would get prophetic dreams-- and being raised
catholic there ws not catholic education to help in learning how these
spiritual gifts work-- over the last 30 years -- john paul jackson --
has taught on the gifts from God -- it ws nice to find other people who
-- God give's spiritual revelation to -- when i pray-- i can tell the
person what God has spoken-- about this or that-- so it is astonshing to
find that there is very little -- of understanding -- in the catholic
-- area-- i remember in 1969 when i took the first "life in the spirit
class- in the catholic charismatic out pouring-- at least there is some
understanding there
